5 months

What a treasure that my little pumpkin is these days! It's hard to believe that pretty soon it will be 6 months that he's been in our lives. I feel like everyday we wake up something new happens... almost a little to fast for me.... but each one is sweeter than the last.

Except for teething. Good grief. When are these things going to bust through?? Weve been dealing with this since before thanksgiving... and granted some days are better than others as far as napping, fussiness and etc, but drool, constant knawing and sucking on hands, fingers, MY CHIN, and whatever else within reach is every day. Every day. all day.

Stats:
  • 18.5 lbs
  • 29 inches in length
  • 6-9 month clothing (leaning closer to the 9) and is actually in some 9 month sleepers.
  • His hair is coming in! Every time he gets a hair-wash we are shocked at how much more there is. (does this come at any surprise? he does have chia pets for parents...)
  • And we LOVE his hair color. It's this awesome wheat shade. Just want to bottle it up and sell it to the masses. We hope it stays this way.
  • I mentioned this last month, but must mention it again. He loves his jumperaoo. Spends a large amount of wake time in it and can spin around to all 3 stations. He loves when mom or dad dances to the music. He jumps REALLY HIGH!
  • He's really into toys right now. He loves anything that jingles - like his funky farm animal from dad- and his lightup stuff.
  • He has always loved books.. right now his favorites are: I am a bunny, the Hungry Catapiller, and Brown Bear, Brown Bear
  • Although he loves books and toys, guess what he would REALLY love to get his hands on... Mom or Dad's iphone. or remote. or camera. Whatever we are currently holding.
  • In the same vein, he is totally interested in table food. And go ahead and call DHS, because he has tasted a lot of foods. He has been getting cereal now pretty consistently at night for about 3 weeks or so.... and breakfast cereals here and there. I think I am going to make breakfast a regimen next week.
  • And, I would just like to extend a personal thanks to the Disney Company and the creators of Baby Einstein. I know there is some scrutinty about it, and it's ability to make children smarter (give me a break, someone is actually suing them for that..) but the 28 minutes of Baby McDonald that Graham gets everyday around 5:00 is a part of our daily flow. You would be amazed at what I can get done during its duration. Usually during that time I do dinner prep, etc.
  • He is starting to sit up! He's actually doing the tri-pod, shere he puts his weight on his arms, Kind of like a sitting monkey. (the previous sentence in no way portrays my views of evolution)
  • He has just noticed Mattie and Charles. Charles doesnt really do anything for him... haha.... but he LOVES Mattie. He likes to touch her fur and he laughs when she puts her face in the glass.
  • New Years weekend, Jason's parents and the Teasleys came to visit, and have had visits from my Grandparents and also my parents during the month. We also went to visit Rinks, and were able to spend a couple of days with the Gaskins, go to Liam Schnecks birthday party and visit with the Cissell family. Also UNCLE CLAYTOn came to visit! We had a great time visiting with all of our friends during January!
Picture time!
he's a big boy in his fleece sweatshirt and joggin pants. watching baby mcdonald

Grandaddy Spud loves Graham! And likewise! (This is my grandfather)
His favorite outfit is his birthday suit.
