Registry

I loved my wedding registry time- picking out dishes, home decor, pillows and even jason picked out some board games (which he received...) but this BABY registry is really throwing me for a loop. I have wonderful friends who have emailed me suggestions and lists, and opinions and I have a HUGE file folder that I am taking with me on Saturday when Jason and I head to the stores.

Um, can we just pause to say I will be 25 weeks this Saturday. (Insert gasp here) I cant believe it either...

Anyway, I am totally overwhelmed, and consumer reports can only get you so far...

Anyone have any tips? Leave them here- as I will print your opinions and add them to my ever growing file folder.

Well, for Easter we headed down - WAY DOWN- to Augusta Georgia to visit with our friends Perry and Nicole, and so that Perry and Jason could head to the Masters for a few days. It was a great trip- although too fast.

I'm no golfer- what gave that away?- but I enjoyed being in Augusta amongst the Masters Buzz and propaganda. My red faced husband would drag in every night toting a bag of masters memorabilia ... some for us, but mostly for others... full of caps, logo tshirts, ball markers, flags and towels...

They were giddy over the players and all they could talk about was how green the grass was.. and how fushia the azeleas were.

Of course the girls had to have some fun too- with some local shopping and of course a SPA DAY. Let me tell you how awesome a prenatal massage was at 23 weeks...... heeeeaaaven....

Perry and Jason are the best of friends- and we were glad we could spend the weekend- and Easter with them! Thank you Perry and Nicole for hosting us in your home- we had a blast!

Am I going to be forever bound to ezines? First my cottage living, now my domino? ? ? Other then 10000 page fashion magazines- what do you guys subscribe to?
I get Southern Living, but that is my (now) only periodical. I LOVED Domino... anyone have any recommendations? Elle Decor?

Domino Shuts Down

Once again, another one bites the dust in the world of publishing.

Conde Nast's Domino -- a magazine that focuses on home decor -- has been shutdown indefinitely because of lagging sales. According to Adage, Domino's ad pages fell 4.5% last year, a decent performance in a year when monthly magazines as a whole saw ad pages drop 9.4%.

It should be said, however, that Domino only launched four years ago and was doing fairly well for being such a new publication. That said, the March issue of Domino will be its last and Its website will go dark as well shortly afterwards.




RIP Domino, you will be missed.
