As most of you know... I am a beginner in this whole "own your own business" phase of my life, but I am happy tp report that it is going really well! My sweet friends Ashley and Regina Wheeler hosted my first stationery party in Savannah- (where I am from) last week. My super talented friend Melinda took some of her tiles and did the show with me- She also created me a logo (feel free to leave comments). Anyway, I wanted to post these pictures for you all to see!

one small step for man, one huge step for mankind...
Although my title is rather cliche', it is fitting for what is going on in our lives today. Jason is taking step 3 of his boards as we speak. It is just another test for him... a step closer to getting to his goal, of becoming a full time physician. What does it mean for me? More weekends when he is moonlighting, fewer opportunities to schedule vacation... but, it means that Jason is closer then yesterday to doing what he feels that God has called him to do.
One time he said to me, "The hospital is the most authentic place on earth. There are no prejudices, no classes of people... when you come in the doors it is about living and dying. We are all the same there."
So, I do feel like it is indeed- a step for mankind.
Please pray for him today. Thanks.

mattie the fattie
So, on Friday Jason took Mattie to a routine check up at the vet. Mattie is a healthy, fun loving, active six year old golden retrevier. You can imagine our surprise when he told Jason that Mattie was overweight. Of course we were thinking, yeah.... she's shedding her winter weight, and Jason had commented that she was having trouble getting into the back of the truck.
Well, the doc says, "Um, for an average golden, their healthy weight is about 70-75 pounds. And Mattie, is topping out at 103." WHAT?!?!?!?! So, he suggests that she lose 3 pounds immediately.
I am aspiring to lose this with her. We have a beach trip in a couple of weeks, and 3 extra pounds would be nice to lose.
Besides, it is 70 degrees today.... so we went for a jog. The first lap around the neighborhood was fine, I have my IPOD set on great running songs (Shake your money maker, and Prince's Musicology.. just to name a few). By the second lap, I was pulling Mattie....so much that a man stopped me and said, honey, I think she is ready to go in.... so we did.
These are shots after our run, and this is how she does when she drinks, and gets hot....

my crazy brothers
Hey everyone-
While we were coloring easter eggs and playing monopoly, Dan and Reid were working on their next project: Tales from Saddleback. They are so fun, and are always coming up with the most random things. The craziest part? They actually know people from the Outdoor Channel that has asked to use part of their footage. So, here's a glimpse of what you can expect from the Isbell brothers.

so we got a blog...

Hello fellow bloggers and beyond.....
Jason and I are proud to announce that we have entered the world of blogging... and hopefully this will allow us to keep up with friends and share more of our life with the world! I have some pretty big steps to follow...I am not sure I can keep up with the great blogs of my friends Lee and Jessica Hill and the Kosko clan. However, I can promise up to date info and occasional Sanjaya Malikar bashing.
To fill you in: Jason and I moved to Jackson TN last July when he started his residency at UT Family Practice. (Dont worry bulldogs, he still bleeds maroon..). He is about to begin his second year and is really enjoying this time. I am doing Marketing for VIP City Magazines.
Some news- I started my own business! Cg Designs, fine stationery and gifts. Those of you who know me well know that I have this strange love for PAPER, design, and all things creative. This is a perfect way to put all of this into action! I have access to some really great stuff.... invitations, gift enclosures, folded notes and more. I will post some of it here so you guys can see what's happening.
Ok, that is all for now... stay tuned!
