Anywhere chair?

Hello bloggers-

Question for you.

Does anyone have this Anywhere Chair from PBK? I was thinking of possibly getting it for Graham and wanted to know if anyone can give me a consumers review. :)

Here's the deal: He has outgrown the bumbo, and the swing. And we LOVED the swing. He knew every night during swing time he would watch baby einstein and then it was bath, bed, etc. Now he loves to sit up, and sits in the floor to watch it. And I literally mean he will sit there from the menu to credits.

Now, I am not under the false impression that once he starts crawling around and walking that he will actually sit in the chair. However, just having a "place" might be fun for him!

Does anybody else have any suggestions for this time?

8 month cutie pie

OK- I feel like a lot has happened this month that is helping my baby turn into a little boy. Not to mention when anyone asks how old he is and I reply, they say "Oh wow, what a big boy!" "He;s so LONG for 8 months!" And he is, but don't keep reminding me. He is little to me!

stats:
  • Make that 3 ear infections: last time we went for check up, double one... thanks nursery!
  • 21.2 lbs
  • Didnt measure him last time we went to doc but I am sure we are 30 inches
  • We have put the swing, bouncy seat, play mat, tummy time mat and bumbo into the closet/attic.... He's outgrown them.
  • In place of those we have added the highchair! (A little late you ask? We couldn't decide on one!) And he LOVES it. Loves to sit at the table with us.
  • He loves to play, and now more than ever- wants us to play with him. He loves to have someone sitting on his mat with him. How do I know that? He will reach for us, then will want to sit in the floor- and if you walk away, he does this "I'm Annoyed" yell.
  • That being said- he plays great by himself- and self entertains a lot.
  • Have I ever mentioned that he hits things? Like, he will ball up his fist and just hit on things over and over and over: his bottle, the picture that is hanging on the wall, our cell phones, his favorite: bags of chips and literally on and on I could go... I wonder what that is?
  • Speaking of his bottle: When he takes it, he will pull the bottle out, look at it, and keep sucking. This may or may not happen 3 or more times during the bottle.
  • As far as eating goes he's loving food. I let him have a few bites of what we are having... and he has reached for his spoon to feed himself. He usually gets it in! Also, if he ever acts uninterested before he is finished... I can usually sing Ole MacDonald, and he will finish eating.
  • He is eating puffs! The main reason I introduced him was to work on his pincher skills. So for a couple of days I would scatter them around on his tray and mostly he would knock them off- then one day I turned around and he had one in his mouth! He has been picking them up ever since.
  • Sleeping Great, Praise the Lord! 11-12 hours at night and a couple of GOOD naps in the day. Whew!
  • Stands up in his crib (by pulling up) and jabbers
  • MaMa came before Dada. He doesn't associate that with me, obviously, but he still said it!
  • Is trying SO HARD to crawl. Gets on all fours and sways but cant get back legs to work. Just rolls or scoots to get where he wants to go.
  • In the same vein, will roll or scoot to the couch or ottoman and tries to pull up.
  • We have only seen this a few times, but if he gets laughing really hard- he will throw his head back and BELLY laugh. It is hysterical.
  • He also bounces on his booty when he gets really excited.
  • Will go to anyone. All the nurses at Jason's clinic especially love this one.
  • Changing his diaper is a lot like hog tying a calf at the county fair.
  • He's a great medicine taker. Reluctant, but he opens his mouth for the syringe. Much unlike his mother- who gagged her way into college.
  • 12-18 month clothing.
  • Pulls everyone's hair- including our pets...
  • Splashes in the tub.. thinks its funny when the water goes flying.

Stalk site: etsy

Ok boys and girls- well, who are we kidding... mostly girls....

Its time to share one of your favorite etsy stores!

I realize that I could break this down into category... but I wont. Just feel free to post whatever you want.

Here's one that I LOVE... :)

I am totally digging aprons right now; so chic, fifties and feminine... and these are cute cute. Love the details.
The ruffles, the pleating, the sweetheart neckline, and the mix of fabrics.

Cant wait to see your favorite stores!!

Seven Months (almost 8)

Alas, it is days before Graham gets to 8 months and I am posting #7. I am reluctant to post everything because this year seems as if it is slipping through my fingers.

The greatest advice that I have received in pregnancy was to not wish any stage away... even the nights when Graham would only sleep on my chest! :) And, we havent. It's funny though, with every new stage we see him becoming more independent, showing more personality and just becoming "him". SO fun, right?

Stats:
  • 2 Ear Infections
  • 20.12 lbs
  • 29.5 inches (I know I wrote 30 inches at 6 months, but I was wrong, we got this measurement at the last doctors appointment)
  • He is officially sitting up and playing.. equals more independence.... but he loves to play with toys. It's really fun to watch him do this.
  • In the same vein, we have now lowered the crib because the other day he had pulled to his knees and was looking over the rails! Will post video of that soon.
  • Now he also faces front in the stroller- he LOVES it. It's like he's discovering the world.... and Target. :)
  • We are days and (2 inches and 1 pound) from being too big for our carseat. Did anyone else have this situation: where you are too big for youcarseat before a year? Do you go ahead and bump to a convertible? I am assuming so, but seems too little. :( Again, another stage that I am not sure I am ready for.
  • Eating, Eating, Eating... stage 2 and some finger foods. and he loves Yogurt.
  • I expect him to crawl at any moment... and I can already tell, he is going to be into everything.
  • I work up a FULL SWEAT trying to change his diaper. It's OUT OF CONTROL.
  • Blows bubbles with his mouth and mocks us. Smacks his lips, shakes his head back and forth... trying to get him to wave.
  • New sounds: bababababa gagagagaga still waiting on Mama and Dada
  • Continues to LOVE the bath.
  • Loves outside. Especially now that the weather is warmer and we can spend time out there...
  • He enjoys texture. He falls asleep in his crib rubbing the minky dot bumper.
  • He loves to pull hair. When I him he grabs at my hair or touches my face. I let him. Sweetie Pie.
  • He has the "elbow of death" as Jason says. He leans up against us with his elbow preventing him from laying all the way back... it's really funny, but drives Jason bonkers.
  • When Jason is holding him, he wraps his arm around Jason's neck and rubs on Jason's head.
  • He REACHES for us. Heart is officially melting.
  • Loves Peek a Boo and Pat A Cake
  • Favorite books continue to be: I am a bunny, his Easter book and Floppy Fishy.
  • We traveled to spend the night with Rinks and go to his first boy girl party-- Raegan's First Birthday! We also went to see Uncle Dan and his new house in Nashville. G loves his Uncle Dan!
Loving this little boy! Enjoy some pics!
